It is a fact that Bahasa speakers make up nearly two-thirds of all the Christians in Malaysia. This wonderful mix of people – rural and urban, indigenous and migrant groups, from all tribes and races – has greatly enriched the Malaysian Church in numbers, diversity and spiritual depth.
And yet, for far too long, there has been a desperate need for books, audio, educational and discipleship training material for BM-speaking children, youth and leaders. Many people in villages and towns lack the basic and necessary discipleship resources for spiritual maturity.
We believe that God's message of love and hope must resound in the national language to touch the lives of indigenous people groups and native speakers.
Wawasan Penabur, or Sower’s Vision, was formed in January 2009, to partner with the Bahasa-speaking church in Malaysia to develop and distribute the best Bahasa resources to leaders, churches and individuals. Founded by Christian leaders from across the major denominations, we serve this mission by seeking to collaborate with Christians committed to serve the BM Church in East and West Malaysia.
