Theme of Workshop:
Building Heroes of Faith

The theme of the Writing Workshop "Building Heroes of Faith" aims at raising writers who could write to inspire youths to champion the cause of Christ and be heroes of faith. Writers learn to write and draw upon the courage and stand of the heroes of the Bible, whose examples prove worthy of the attention of Malaysian churches. Another reason for drawing upon the premier examples of the Bible is to enable youths to forge solidarity with Biblical heroes. The writer to the Hebrews exhorted his readers that "since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangle us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith." (Hebrew 12:1-2)
